Katelyn McManus
LLB, BA
Katelyn is part of our family law team, dealing specifically with Care of Children, Family Violence and Protection of Personal and Property Rights Act (PPPR) matters.
Katelyn attended the University of Canterbury and studied Law, French and Art History and was admitted as a Barrister and Solicitor of the New Zealand High Court in Christchurch on 14 December 2022. Originally from Nelson, Katelyn started at Nelson Community Law as a generalist practitioner, representing many clients in employment law, as well as general areas of law. Katelyn sees the skills she has gained while at Community Law as being easily transferred into the family law space and having a good understanding of people and the complexities of relationships helps her navigate ideal outcomes for clients.
Outside of work Katelyn is a keen traveler, both domestically and internationally. She enjoys the outdoors and is enjoying exploring Northland in her time off. She also enjoys the creative space, whether it be fashion, painting, or awesome homemade cards.
